It seems that Angel is not only a bright kid but also a super heroine.

I already mentioned that she always runs to me every time I arrived home. But ever since she started schooling, she will stop a few steps before reaching me and will show me the star at the back of her palm, as if a hero shielding herself from being hit, and then will shout, “Mommy, star! I have more stars in my books.”

Good job, Super Angel!

Last night, I witnessed Angel's fastest time eating her food.

Every time I go home, Angel's routine is to bless (back of my palm on her forehead), kiss me on my lips, and ask "Mommy, may dala?" (You have something for me?). But yesterday, I forgot to bring something for her.

After I took a shower, we went to Puregold-Malolos to buy our monthly grocery for the house. We were at the counter when Angel told me, "Mommy, sayang, wala kang dala sa'kin. Bili mo na lang ako ng ice cream." (Mommy, you didn't bring something for me. Can you just buy me ice cream?” So I told my mother to get a half gallon ice cream.

Right after we arrived at home, we had our dinner. Usually, Angel finishes her food after two (2) t.v. programs, leaving her eating at the dining table alone. But that particular night, Angel finished her dinner ahead of us and even before a t.v. program ended. Wanna know why?

She can only have ice cream after she finishes eating her food.

Last Saturday night, our boarder and a friend had a drinking session at our house. It was very late and I think Angel is sleepy. When our boarders' friend gone outside to pee, Angel thought that the drinking session is over. So she asked: "Tatay, tapos na kayo po?" But our boarder did not reply..

So Angel said, "Tatay, akyat na po ako. Dito ka na lang matulog sa baba, wala kasing kasama matulog si Mommy ko po."

How thoughtful, Angel, but no thanks!

Walang Pera

Last Friday, hindi ako pumasok dahil sa stomach pain dahil sa drinking session nang Thursday night. So, nagstay lang ako sa bahay at malaon ay naisip ko na mamasyal sa SM Marilao dahil sa ilang kadahilanan: 1) Nagrequest si Kuya Eric na bigyan ko ng tuta si Ate Dulce pag nanganak si Lei. E, 3 months na ang nakakalipas at malaki na si Kagome kaya sa wakas, hinatid ko na sya kay Ate Dulce. 2) Pambawi kay Nanay dahil 3am na ako umuwi at nagising sya para pagbuksan ako ng pinto, tapos gumising pa ulit sya ng 430 para gisingin ako.

So ayun, namasyal nga kami sa SM kasama si Nanay, Angel, Kuya Dong, at Eric. Naglaro lang kami sa Quantum, bumili ng footwear at pants, at kumain sa Pizza Hut.

Habang nakasakay kami sa jeep pauwi, may pumasok na lalaki sa jeep. Eto yung mga nagbibigay ng letter para manghingi ng tulong-pinansiyal. So habang nageexplain sya, tinanong ako ni Angel, habang nakakandong sya kay Nanay at nasa harapan nya ako.

Angel: Mommy, ano ‘to?
Nysa: Ah, nanghihingi lang sila ng pera, donation para sa grupo nila.
Angel: Ah.. whee, wala namang pera si Nanay.

At nagtawanan ang mga nakasakay sa jeep.

Iisa Pa Lamang

My Angel is fond of singing. And because of her frequent tv time during primetime bida, she learned the themesong of Iisa Pa Lamang.

She tells me, "Mommy, kanta tayo." (Mommy, let's sing.)
I say, "Sige, kanta ka na." (Sure, ok, you sing.)
She insists, "Gayaan mo ako." (meaning, turuan ko sya, o sabayan..) (join with me..)
I say, "Ok. At...."
She sings, "Kait iba na ang minamaal mo, kung sino man ang siyang may-ayi ng yung puso. Ang bawat pangayap, kalayo, kaibigan. Iisa pa lamang ang minaal ko ng ganito."

Cavities

My Angel is fond of watching the television especially those primetime bida telenovelas. Of course, when you are watching t.v., part of it are the commercials.

There is this commercial of Colgate when an Ate played as a dentist and she's looking at his younger brother's teeth. His brother asked him, "What are you looking for?" Ate answered, "Cavities." "But I have no cavities because I'm using Colgate."

My Angel, curious of this commercial, told me, "Mommy, bili mo ko cavities."(Mommy, buy me cavities.) But I said, "I don't have to, because you already have cavities." (wala kasi syang ngipin. She has no teeth.) Hehe!
